Over the years, I have been telling stories about my life, most of them funny, a few sad.  In 1980, a friend began calling them Gary Stories.  These are true, at least as true as my memory.  In some case I have kept notes in a journal, but enjoy them for stories.  Elsewhere, on this site is my blog, which I had been including some of these, but it needs reorganization here is the attempt.  The guy at the left is me about age seven, reading of course.  Which I loved to do then, if it was dark or too cold to be outside.  The guy on the right is what I have become--older, wiser and very confident in who I am, but I have never lost the ability to be the boy.  Many friends have told me I am truly young at heart.  Thanks.  Other parts seem a bit older though.  And, still today, a rainy day, a good fire and a good book are a perfect combination.  I still like to be outdoors, enjoying good friends and more.  My parents were fond of saying that you should not discuss sex, religion or politics.  I have found that these are very interesting topics, but that most people are not comfortable explaining what they believe in or why....but that is yet another story.

Stories so far....[this is a work in progress and is being updated every now and then, much more then than now] last updated July 13, 2019
